Miley Leong (梁伟祺) is committed to working towards collective liberation through values embodiment and relationship building. She believes in meeting people where they’re at while holding a sharp analysis on systems and the ways we interact with power. Miley is a Hakka Chinese immigrant-settler from Malaysia living on unceded, stolen Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh homelands. She is a facilitator and community builder, with experience in designing and facilitating liberatory engagement processes.

Wei William Tao (陶维) is a Canadian Immigration and Refugee Lawyer at Heron Law Offices in Vancouver. In addition to being a founding Board Member, he is actively engaged in policy and advocacy on behalf of migrant communities. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) National Immigration Section Anti-Racism Committee and formerly served as the Chair of Cultural Communities Advisor Committee for the City of Vancouver, the Mayor’s Working Group on Immigration, Chinatown Legacy Stewardship Group, and the Historical Discrimination of People of Chinese Descent. He is excited of the potential of RES to reshape the charitable sector to better include and advocate for underserved and marginalized communities.

Kailey Tam (譚慧儀) is a Cantonese settler born and raised on the unceded and ancestral territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh nations. They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Honours English Literature and Language with a minor in Asian Canadian and Asian Migration Studies. With an interest in policy and legal reform, Kailey hopes to create and contribute to accessible and equitable spaces, where relationship, reciprocity, and lived experiences are centered, respected, and celebrated.

Spencer (李丹彤) is a master’s student studying Gender, Sexuality and Women Studies at Simon Fraser University. They are passionate about community building and QTBIPOC youth engagement, with an emphasis on rest and collective care. Their research interests include sexual reproductive health rights, diasporic queer spaces and communities, and gendered violence in East Asia. They enjoy learning new languages, creating zines, and watching reality television in their free time, and they prefer savoury snacks with the exception of a matcha latte paired with a flakey croissant.
