(she/her)
Joey (張倩宜) is a second-generation migrant-settler of Chinese descent. Though she was born in and is currently living on the traditional, ancestral and stolen territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, she spent her childhood growing up in Manila and Hong Kong.
Joey has a background in design and social practice and community engagement with experience working in the philanthropic sector. She brings a design justice approach to her work and is committed to advancing collective liberation through her creative practice.

Laurie Inouye
陳美玲, Trần Như Hằng, 井上ローリー
treasurer
(she/her)
Laurie is a second-generation American Chinese and Vietnamese settler and first-born daughter of a Hoa single mother. She is a visitor in the unceded and stolen ancestral lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations and is a settler of the ancestral, unceded lands Coast Salish people, specifically the Duwamish and Muckleshoot People (or “Seattle” in the colonizers’ language). She moved to BC after living in Tokyo, Japan with her fifth-generation Japanese-American husband before recently returning to the US.
Laurie is at heart an anthropologist and community builder, valuing the connection and love between people as the key to thriving and defeating systemic oppression including colonization and capitalism. She always has a hoard of snacks and sweets ready for you if you’re having a bad day.

Veronica (Ronnie) Bonifacio Lorimer
Secretary
(She/her)
Veronica (Ronnie) is a lawyer, writer and content developer. She works in the access to justice space in so-called British Columbia. Ronnie comes from a family with deep activist roots in the Philippines. She enjoys the kinship of working with values-aligned folks on the RES Board to help push for radical systems change and to try to shift the way power happens in the charitable sector in BC.

Felicia Phan
Board Member
(she/her)
Felicia is a second generation settler and daughter of Vietnamese immigrants. She is grateful to call the unceded, stolen and ancestral lands of the Coast Salish people her home for the past 9 years. She has experience in public health, evaluation and system transformation in the healthcare sector. She is committed to working with communities from a place of humility and is excited to innovate and reimagine what the charitable sector looks like. During her personal time, you can probably find her running by the water, singing with her choir or cooking up something yummy in her kitchen.
